York is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, a magical place to spend Christmas. This elegant, privately owned Georgian hotel has all the essential ingredients to ensure you have a truly memorable Christmas.
Christmas Eve
We look forward to welcoming you from 2pm onwards. Now is the time to do some last minute Christmas shopping or perhaps attend the famous carol service in York Minster. From 7.30pm join us in the Piano Bar for a glass of champagne. Carols from St Peter's School Choir can be heard in the atrium before a magnificent four course dinner is served.
Christmas Day
A continental breakfast is served to you in your room. Traditional Christmas Lunch is served from 1pm. After lunch relax in the bar, take a nap, stroll around the city or watch the Queen's Speech. Join us from 8pm in the Piano Bar when our pianist plays songs from the shows before a light informal buffet is served.
Boxing Day
Start Boxing Day with a hearty Yorkshire Breakfast, then check out York's Boxing Day sales or explore this historic city, full of tiny alleyways and mediaeval ruins. Meet back in our bar at midday for an aperitif before lunch and a light hearted talk on the history of York. We then head to the Theatre Royal for the matinee performance of Dick Turpin. Finally dinner is served at your leisure from 7.30pm.
